buell sport bike
At just under 5″1, 18yr old female, what sports bike is feasible?

i have looked at crusiers but they are much too heavy for me and too large for london traffic…
what sports bikes do you reckon would be good?
i have experience, and would prefer something relatively light that has a low seat due to my height, needs to be available in the UK.
I really like the Buell Blast however it isnt available in the UK. Its also VEEERY pricy, so the cheaper the better!

I dont want a moped or a scooter and as im doing my full test this summer, above 125cc is good. maybe 250. can be higher!!
btw currently have a honda sky which is 50cc.
Sport Bikes are usually not a good choice for a short rider. Most will have a seat height of 30 inches or higher.
Examples:
Yamaha FZ6r has a seat height on 30.5 inches
Kawasaki Ninja 250R has a seat height of 30.5 inches and weighs 374 pounds.
But the Cruiser style Suzuki Boulevard S40 has a seat height of 27.5 inches and weighs 381 pounds, only 5 pounds than the Ninja 250R.
For someone your size, the most important thing to consider is seat height. You have to be able to balance the bike while stopped in traffic. Best if you can sit and put both feet flat on the ground. With a seat too high, you will only be able to put one foot on the ground. You may be forced to lean the bike to the side and can easily lose your balance and drop the bike. This could be dangerous in traffic. At the very least, it will be embarrassing. This could also be a problem when you take your motorcycle license road test.
There are lowering kits available for some bikes, but these can cause problems. They change the suspension geometry and can cause handling problems. The reduced ground clearance can cause the bike to drag the pavement in corners, which can cause loss of control. The lower suspension can cause the tire to rub the fender. The kick stand will need to be altered. You can also lower the seat height a little bit by shaving some of the cushion from the seat. However, this can cause comfort issues, especially on longer rides.
A Cruiser style motorcycle may be a bit heavier than a similar sized Sport Bike, but it will have a much lower center of gravity making it much easier to balance.
Also, getting a Sport Bike for your first bike is like getting a Formula 1 race car for your first bike. Any decent Sport bike can go from zero to deadly faster than you can say “Oh Sh**”
